Last year we planted wildflower in our backyard for the first time. We didn’t know if they’d grow but watered and hoped they’d come up. And they did! We didn’t worry about weeding, just made sure they had water and it was such a wonderful happy surprise as they started to grow and eventually bloom. Since they were wildflowers, they didn’t all come at the same time and it was a surprise what came up.

Since last year, I got this idea to share that joy with others. I found a big bag of wildflower seeds at the store and thought it would be the perfect gift for friends this year. The best time to plant them is probably fall, but at the end of winter (during the rainy season) works too! That’s what we did.
I needed a way to separate this big bag of seeds and thought about just using treat bags. But then I decided it’d be so lovely to make a little seed packet with a quote for Valentine ’s Day saying on it. I can’t pass up a good Valentine. It took me a whole month to design the flowers on it, but I’m still learning flower design while using Procreate and hopefully will get faster.
I felt very strongly to create one with Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s Quote from LDS General Conference 2020
“In a way we are all seeds, and for seeds to reach their true potential, they must be buried before they sprout”
One of my new favorite quotes and perfect for everything
we’ve all been going through this year and last. You can download just that
quote in b/w and color or download the seed packet printable. Both are free and I hope you can
find some joy in sharing them with your friends.
