This pineapple string art is easy to make and really fun summer decoration.
In case you didn't know, we love pineapples over here. Like this pineapple fleece pillow, or these pineapple leggings, this pineapple coloring page and this pineapple bridal shower I threw for my sister (who is the biggest pineapple lover of all of us).
When I did a be kind string art a couple of years ago for our church's woman's craft activity, I later did a pineapple for my sister as a sample so she could help her young woman group make some for girls camp.
Pineapple String Art Video Tutorial
- 5x7 or your choice of wood length
- wire nails - I got 17 x 1" the smaller and skinnier the nail the easier to nail in
- stain -I like Special Walnut and Dark Walnut optional or you can paint the wood first
- embroidery thread - You can also use crochet thread but not as many color options
I don't have any pictures for this tutorial, but watch the video tutorial below to see how I made it.
My niece also loves pineapples so I was happy to give this to her. It is now happily sitting in her room. She is pretty awesome; she has a pretty adorable pineapple collage above her dresser.
