Make some cute knee patches using heat transfer stretch vinyl! you can use coordinating colors to make layered vinyl designs. Such a quick and fun project. Thanks for HTV World for supplying the vinyl for this post. All opinions are MY own; I wouldn't share if I didn't like the product :).
It wouldn't be right to head into springtime without a pineapple project :). I've been wanting to try stretch htv (heat transfer vinyl) for a long time and knee patches on little girl leggings seemed like a fabulous opportunity!
Not only were they SUPER easy and quick to make, they turned out so cute! Seriously, I kind of wish I could pull off wearing leggings with cute knee patches. I couldn't stop at just one pair of leggings, so I added some flowers to another pair (per the request of my 3 year old).
I got the stretch vinyl from HTV world and found picking out of colors very easy and straight forward. Especially if you're like me and have a hard time making decisions. They have an array of colors which is great if you are looking for a certain shade.
And then once you pick your color, you can use the color picker underneath to pick out coordinating colors.
They also have the option of shopping based on vinyl type. Shopping for Heat Transfer Vinyl has never been so easy :)DIY Knee Patches Leggings using Heat Transfer Stretch Vinyl
Supplies:
- Heat Transfer Stretch Vinyl - I used this coral and selected all the coordinating colors ***(Use SISTERSWHAT10 for a 10% discount)
- Iron
- Leggings
- Cutting Machine - I use a Silhouette (currently a great price on Amazon)
- *optional - Heat Press - See this great list of reviews HERE
- Pick a pattern - I used the pineapple design 62345 from Silhouette store and the flower design is 56065 also from silhouette store
Cut out your designs with the correct colors for the parts of the pineapple. Find the knee spot on the leggings.
Place the bottom of the pineapple on the knee spot and iron it on until adheres. Be careful not to melt it.
Next iron on the top of the pineapple. Then iron on the white part of the pineapple on top of the yellow. And that is literally it!! so easy!!
